This is an example of my current solo performance work: music improvised and composed in real time, built from voice, pedal steel, analog synthesizers, and electronics. Where my work with dance and film responds to a body or an image, these solo sets respond to the room itself — its acoustics, its light, and the attention of the people in it.

Each performance finds its own form as it unfolds. The music intentionally incorporates the sounds of the space it's created in — even the sounds outside the building, when audible. The result is a soundscape that becomes an environment, one that leaves space for the listener as the main character.
